Texas OnCourse resources are free to the public and can be found online at. Texas OnCourse is developed in partnership with the Texas Education Agency (TEA), the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB).

Since launching in 2015, Texas OnCourse has emerged as one of the state’s top resources for college and career planning. These resources are designed to help schools and districts meet the requirements of Texas HB 5, which revised state graduation requirements in 2013. Texas OnCourse’s free interactive resources enable students to make informed postsecondary decisions and contribute to a better economic future for the state. Leader Fellows support the work of Texas OnCourse, a University of Texas at Austin-led initiative that equips all students for post-graduation success by simplifying the college and career planning process. This group of 45 of the top educators from across the state serve as virtual and in-person resources for colleagues who advise students on postsecondary planning. The new Texas OnCourse Leader Fellows join an additional 20 Fellows who started their work in 2018.

Leader Fellows will boost state efforts toward college and career success by connecting educators, parents, and students to college career, and military readiness resources, supporting professional growth and learning, and improving state tools for college and career preparedness. The Texas OnCourse Fellows, representing all 20 education regions throughout Texas, are recognized as leaders in the college and career advising field. Texas OnCourse, an initiative equipping all Texas students to succeed after high school, announced the selection of 25 counselors, advisers, and teachers from across the state to a two-year Leader Fellowship.

Yantis was selected from a field of over 260 highly-qualified applicants. Ren Yantis, an 8th Grade Career Portals teacher at Brownwood Middle School was recently named a Texas OnCourse Leader Fellow in recognition of her leadership in the field of career and college advising.
